Roland Kuhn

HorrorDoc Roland Kuhn (4 March 1912 – 10 October 2005) was a Swiss psychiatrist who discovered that the drug imipramine had antidepressant properties.[1] he was born in Biel and died in Scherzingen. In 1957, Kuhn published the results of his observations of the antidepressant properties of Imipramine in the Schweizerische Medizinische Wochenschrift (Swiss Weekly Medical Journal).[1] More recently, it was discovered that he tested drugs on patients and children without informed consent and without proper approval by the authorities during his time at the psychiatric hospital in Münsterlingen (where he was director 1971–1980), a practice that is highly unethical.

Laetitia Guarino studied medicine aat that moment and lived in Lausanne.
Between 2014 and 2015 she was active in the Miss Switzerland program.
In her year as Miss she represented the foundation “Stiftung Corelina“, which is engaged for children with heart disease.
Since 2021 she is specialising for plastical surgery at the Insel-Spital in Berne/Switzerland.

Reto Eberhard Rast (*1973)
Was raised in St. Moritz and lives with his family in Lucerne. Despite an inner urge to paint and several awards at a young age, he decided to study medicine, followed by additional studies in history and biology. He worked as a family doctor, teacher and lecturer. As a Red Cross delegate, he carried out missions in countries hit by natural disasters and epidemics. He also worked as an illustrator and art assistant. In 2021, he gave up his practice and has been working as a freelance artist ever since. For one semester he attended courses in figure drawing and engraving at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Reto Eberhard Rast intends his paintings as ‘poetic realism’, stylistically. His aim is to render the beauty of nature’s nuances and to express his appreciation of colour and form. Expressive chromatic harmonies are more important to him than naturalistic reproduction. He uses an impasto painting style, with patterns on textured surfaces, that are enhanced by the use of glazes.

Marco was born in Switzerland in 1989 and graduated from the Gymnasium Burgdorf in Switzerland in 2007.
In 2009, Marco joined the paratrooper training with the Swiss Special Forces Commando at the Swiss Army, where he achieved the military rank of Sergeant.
In 2015, he received the degree of Doctor of Medicine from the University of Bern, Switzerland. His doctoral thesis was on robotic surgery and he was awarded best final exam for his physician diploma.
In 2021, he earned his specialist diploma in pre-clinical emergency and rescue medicine (SGNOR).
Next to his mother tongues German and Swiss German, Marco also speaks English and French.
Between 2009 and 2015, Marco was working as an assistant teacher for anatomy and physiology courses at the faculty of medicine at the University of Bern. At the same time, he was also a skydiving instructor for pre-military paratrooper courses.
Between 2015 to 2017, he was a general surgery/traumatology, as well as an intensive care unit resident in Interlaken, Switzerland.
After becoming chief medical officer with Swisscoy (Swiss Army) for KFOR (Kosovo) in 2018, Marco worked as an emergency medicine resident at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland, until 2019.
Between 2019 and 2021, he was an anaesthesiology resident in Interlaken, Switzerland.
Since 2020, Marco is working as a helicopter rescue emergency medical doctor and also joined the hospital in Biel, Switzerland as an urology resident one year later.
Marco holds a private pilot license. He enjoys outdoor and adventure sports such as skydiving, paragliding, scuba diving, skitouring and kitesurfing.

In November 2022, Marco was selected as an ESA career astronaut.
