The Thuringian Doctors' Orchestra is comprised of music-loving doctors, nurses, and members of other medical professions. The orchestra was founded in 1997 and is currently conducted by Joan Pagès Valls, artistic director of the Belvedere Music High School in Weimar. The orchestra will perform for the first time in Meiningen's Stadtkirche (City Church).
