The NSW Doctors Orchestra is a classical orchestra of doctors and medical students from all areas of NSW who come together at least annually to play in aid of charities in both the arts and medicine.
The Australian Doctors Orchestra (ADO) is a unique national fellowship of medical professionals who are also classically trained musicians. Since our first concert in 1993, the orchestra has played a concert every year (except 2021) and in every state, using each occasion to raise funds for charity.
Up to 100 medical professionals from all around Australia share two days of final rehearsals culminating in a performance on a Sunday afternoon, featuring acclaimed soloists and providing exciting orchestral performances.

Camerata Medica Wien catches up with the tradition of the Vienna Doctors Orchestra which existed before and until about 1939. Now it consists of 60 MusicDocs.
In the spring of 2004, the Viennese orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Martin Donner – who trained as a flautist during his medical studies at the Vienna Conservatory – revived this tradition with the founding of the Camerata Medica Vienna.
We are an orchestra made up of doctors from across Europe. We perform at least two public charity concerts a year, aiming to promote the public’s understanding in the performance and appreciation of music, and also to benefit other charity projects (usually related to health and well-being).
On 15th of August 2015 the Federal Doctors Philharmony had been founded under the patronate of medical president Prof. Dr. med. Frank Ulrich Montgomery. It is a project orchestra which meets by definition once a year and is frequented by MusicDocs from all 26 Doctors Orchestras from Germany.
