The Romanian Doctors Orchestra was founded in 1954 by Ermil Nichifor (see wikipedia-Link). In 2004 it cooperated for the very first recital of the European Doctors Orchestra in the Atheneum in Bucharest.

(German:) Die Camerata Medica Göttingen wurde im Mai 2008 mit Unterstützung der Fachschaft von dem Medizinstudenten Christopher Spehring gegründet. Trotz der schwierigen Probenlogistik, die das aufwendige Medizinstudium und der Arztberuf verursachen, hat der damalige Dirigent, Peter Leipold, von der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, das Orchester innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu guter Qualität gebracht. Das erste Konzert fand bereits am 19. Juli 2008 im Rahmen der Absolventenfeier in der Universitätsaula der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen statt.

medicanti has been founded in the nineties from medical students and has been transformed from a chamber music ensemble to a symphonic orchestra meanwhile. The play twice a year and most likely in the famous Frauenkirche in Dresden.
(GERMAN:) Das Orchester »medicanti« entstand vor 26 Jahren – gegründet von Medizinstudenten an der damaligen Medizinischen Akademie Dresden (heute Universitätsklinikum). Nach dem ersten Konzert – ein Adventskonzert – bildete sich unter dem Dirigenten Christian Möbius aus dem kleinen Barockensemble ein Kammerorchester mit etwa 20 Mitgliedern. In den Folgejahren wechselten die Dirigenten in regelmäßigen Abständen, mit jedem einzelnen konnte das Orchester neue Erfahrungen sammeln und unvergessliche Momente erleben – beginnend mit dem ersten Deutsch-Deutschen Orchestertreffen im Juni 1990 über den zweiten Platz beim Kammerorchesterwettbewerb des Freistaates Sachsen 1995 bis hin zu einer Orchesterreise nach Griechenland.
2002 übernahm Wolfgang Behrend die Leitung des Orchesters. Er setzte die Tradition seiner Vorgänger fort und intensivierte die Zusammenarbeit mit Studenten der Musikhochschule Dresden, die sowohl als Orchestermitglieder als auch solistisch zur Ergänzung ihrer künstlerischen Ausbildung mitwirken.

It was founded by Victor Wahby
Dr. Wahby is a Renaissance man: physician, musician, scientist, poet, and conductor. Educated in both medicine and music, he studied conducting with Joseph El-Sissi, the Vienna-trained conductor of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra.
During his tenure at the Mayo Clinic he conducted the Mayo Medical Chorale and Orchestra, and while on the Yale Medical School faculty he conducted the Yale Medical Musical Group, the forerunner of the current national group he founded.
The Washington Post praised Dr. Wahby for his “sincere interpretations of music.”

The inaugural concert was held initially in the name of the North America Medical Orchestra (NAMO) on 12/16/2017 in New York with lots of support from physicians and medical researchers. The leaders of the NAMO actually helped in 4 major concerts in Domarican Republic in 2018 & 2019 seasons. Now NAMO is reborn with the name of the Samaritan Doctors Orchestra to stretch their humanitarian activities outside of the North America.
