Hunter Doherty „Patch“ Adams (* 28. Mai 1945 in Washington, D.C.) ist ein US-amerikanischer Arzt. Er gründete 1972 das Gesundheit! Institute. Sein Leben war das Vorbild für den Film Patch Adams mit Robin Williams in der Titelrolle. Adams lebt heute in Arlington, Virginia, wo er in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut alternative Heilkunst praktiziert.
Patch Adams ist auch Sozialaktivist, „Bürger-Diplomat“, Profi-Clown, Darsteller und Autor. Jedes Jahr organisiert er eine Gruppe von freiwilligen Clowns aus der ganzen Welt, die gemeinsam nach Russland reisen, um Waisen, Kranken und allen anderen Hoffnung zu geben. 1998 hat er auch Bosnien-Herzegowina besucht. Außerdem ist er Schirmherr des Berliner Vereins namu Art for Life Network e. V., mit dessen Akteuren er seit 2009 Kinder in Berliner Kliniken besucht.

Francois and Dr. William Robinson, known as the „Singing Surgeons“, performed „God Bless America“ during the NBC Special „Back Home Again“ on May 24, and performed „The Star-Spangled Banner“ at the 2020 Indianapolis 500.[5]
Francois completed a 5-year residency at the Mayo Clinic in June 2020, and completed a 3-month spine surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School in November 2020.[2]
In 2020, Francois appeared in season four of The Masked Singer as „Serpent“ who was the first character with animatronic parts. He was eliminated in the eighth episode alongside Lonzo Ball as „Whatchamacallit“.[6]
Francois was named to the People Magazine „Sexiest Man Alive“ list for 2020.

(Christopher Anderson For The Spokesman-Review) Cantlon, a retired ear, nose and throat doctor who worked in the Spokane area for more than 40 years, was one of more than 50 acts busking for donations to Second Harvest Inland Northwest during the 20th annual Street Music Week in downtown Spokane.
Cantlon taught himself piano after he retired. He said he’s always loved playing music, and used to play the bass in a band composed of fellow ear, nose and throat doctors. They went by the name “Snot Bad,” Cantlon said .
“A bunch of the doctors were musicians so we all played,” Cantlon said. “We made our staff suffer.” Cantlon played a stand-up piano in the back of his crimson Ford F-350 across the street from Riverfront Park, playing hits from artists from several eras, including the Eagles and Bruno Mars. A sign on the side of the truck read “without music and food, life would B# (be flat).”

Nachdem Tony Cicoria vom Blitz getroffen wurde, hatte er ein Out-of-Body-Erlebnis und wurde in diesem Zustand in Form einer Klaviersonate inspiriert. Sodann nahm er Klavierunterricht, schrieb das Stück auf und spielte es auf CD ein. 2013 besuchte er die PianoMusicDocs master-class von Wolfgang Ellenberger in Wien und spielte seine Blitzsonate beim Abschlusskonzert im Mozarthaus. Das ist eine besondere Überwindung dieses Traumas!
