Mark Warnecke

Mark Warnecke is SwimDoc

Mark Warnecke (born 15 February 1970 in Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German former breaststroke swimmer who, at age 35, won the world title in the 50 m breaststroke at the 2005 World Aquatics Championships in Montreal. That made him the oldest swimming world champion since 1971. He started for the German swimming club SG Essen.

After his “Abitur” he studied economical informatics and after a stay in hospital he got more interested in medicine and worked in traumatic surgery after his studies in Bochum University Hospital. Continue reading Mark Warnecke

Dr Silson qualified in 2000 from University of Birmingham and worked in Birmingham, Worcestershire and New Zealand before joining the practice in 2006.
Her main clinical interests are Women’s Health and Paediatrics. She does Minor Surgery and fits Contraceptive Implants and Coils.
Her main interests include life drawing, swimming and, more recently, developing a vegetable patch.

Roland Matthes (born 17 November 1950) is a retired German swimmer and the most successful backstroke swimmer of all times. Between April 1967 and August 1974 he won all backstroke competitions he entered. He won four European championships and three world championships in a row, and swam 19 world and 21 European records in various backstroke, butterfly, freestyle and medley events.[1][2] He was trained by Marlies Grohe.[3] Continue reading Roland Matthes

Gunther Philipp (8 June 1918 – 2 October 2003) was an Austrian film actor, physician and swimmer.[1]

From 1949 to 2002 he appeared as an actor in 147 movies for cinema and television, mainly in comic roles. As an author, Philipp wrote 21 film scripts.
